3. Project Highlights
A. Extreme Fineness Control
Achieving D97 = 1.17μm means the vast majority of particles have reached the sub-micron level. The Epic Powder Jet Mill utilizes supersonic airflow to induce high-velocity collisions between particles. This “autogenous” grinding method eliminates contamination from grinding media, while the high-precision horizontal or vertical classifying wheel ensures an extremely sharp cut-off point.
B. Superior Wear Protection
Given the highly abrasive nature of SiC, all critical components—including nozzles, inner linings, and the classifier wheel—are treated with comprehensive ceramic protection (such as Alumina or Silicon Carbide liners). This not only extends the equipment’s lifespan but also ensures “zero metallic contamination,” meeting the stringent purity requirements of the semiconductor industry.
C. Stable Industrial Output
Maintaining a stable output of 40kg/h at a fineness of 1.17μm demonstrates the equipment’s excellent energy conversion efficiency and reliability for continuous industrial operation in silicon carbide ultrafine grinding applications.
4. Process Flow
- Аўтаматызаванае кармленне: Pre-crushed SiC raw material is fed into the hopper.
- Струйное фрэзераванне: Compressed air is accelerated through Laval nozzles into supersonic streams, causing particles to collide violently in the grinding chamber.
- Класіфікацыя дакладнасці: Particles meeting the fineness requirement pass through the classifier, while coarse particles return to the grinding zone.
- Калекцыя: The final product is efficiently captured by a high-efficiency cyclone collector and a pulse jet bag filter.
5. Заключэнне
The successful operation of this Jiangxi-based project demonstrates Epic Powder’s technical maturity in processing high-hardness, ultra-fine, and high-purity materials. For enterprises seeking high-value-added SiC processing, this system serves as a benchmark for improving product competitiveness and achieving consistent sub-micron results.
